Help the Greenway reforest after over forty acres of pine forest were destroyed by the Southern Pine Beetle.  This is a wonderful opportunity to assist the Greenway replant beautiful, long-lived hardwood trees and create a lasting remembrance of those special people and events in your life.

A distinctive sign listing the memorials will be erected to list the remembrances.  All the trees are native to western North Carolina and provide a valuable resource to the local wildlife.

Each of the trees selected for the Memorial Forest plays a vital role in establishing a balanced and healthy forest that is both beautiful and beneficial.  The Greenway reserves the right to substitute any tree with another species of similar characteristic to create a will proportioned forest community.
